NEW DAY, INC. OF SPARTANBURG

also known as New Day Clubhouse, was founded in 1987 as a private, nonprofit organization through the efforts of the Mental Health Association of the Piedmont. New Day was established to fill the community's need for a psychiatric rehabilitation center serving adults, 18 years and older, with diagnoses of serious mental illness.

Individuals participating in the programs and services at New Day Clubhouse are known as members, not clients or patients. The Clubhouse offers a home-like environment where members experience support, understanding, and opportunities for personal growth. All services focus on the member's strengths, talents and abilities, and are designed to facilitate successful social and vocational adjustments to community life.

Welcome to our site....

Many of you know that we have just celebrated our 20th Anniversary at New Day Clubhouse. In the spirit of the clubhouse members, staff and board members celebrated with a Luau. Members and staff planned the event that included a BBQ bash with "Elvis" and "The Limedaddies."  If you weren't there, you will have another opportunity to celebrate with us.

Ms. Lizzie Simon, author of the book Detour: My Biopolar Road Trip In 4-D, will make an appearance for New Day Clubhouse on October 30, 2007. The event will be held at Cleveland Park that will contain both a book signing and presentation by Lizzie. Please call the clubhouse if you would like more information about this event. The public is invited.

If you would like to get a newsletter or a copy of the annual report, please contact the clubhouse at ndclubhouse@charter.net.  Thanks for visiting!
