Employment Program
New Day provides employment opportunities for all members at the clubhouse. Members usually start out in the Transitional Employment Program where staff and members work hand-in-hand to acquire a job and fill the position. The New Day staff trains the members and stays on the job site until everyone is comfortable. These jobs last around 6 months. Another aspect of the employment program is the Supported Employment. Here staff will assist with applications, job searches and leads, and even discuss issues with the possible employer if the member requests assistance. Additionally we have the Independent Employment aspect. Here we offer support of the clubhouse, social times with friends and any assistance that the member requests to help him or her continue with their job. Many times we have helped an employer solve an issue and the member has been able to further improve their job skills.
